Inline thermography for injection molding processes
TIM thermal imaging cameras are designed for non-contact measurement of surface temperatures from -20 °C to 2450 °C. They enable efficient monitoring and control of temperature-critical processes both with low temperatures (e.g. in cooling chains) and with very high temperatures (e.g. in glass and metal processing). Their high thermal sensitivity makes these infrared cameras ideally suitable for precise and dynamic tasks. Different performance classes enable a suitable model to be selected for every application. The camera is connected via a USB interface, which also supplies the power.
Characteristics
- Temperature range from -20 °C to 2450 °C
- Long-life operation due to non-contact and wear-free measurement
- Ideal for OEM applications
- Real-time thermography with license-free software
- Compact design including USB port / optional Gigabit Ethernet
Easy process integration
Extremely lightweight, robust and compact
thermoIMAGER cameras close the gap between portable infrared snapshot cameras and devices for stationary use. Their lightweight and compact design makes them ideally suitable for mobile and stationary applications.License-free software
The TIM Connect real-time software is an extremely powerful thermography software that is delivered with each infrared camera. This software enables parameter set-up of the camera and automatic process and quality control. Individual alarm thresholds can be set depending on the respective process. The free software included is compatible with Windows 7 and 10.Large temperature measuring range
Thermal imaging cameras from Micro-Epsilon are suitable for use across a wide measuring range from -20 °C to 2000 °C – from low temperatures prevalent in cooling chains or laboratories, to the highest temperatures in metal processing applications.Thermal imager for body screening

Quick and flexible to useThe thermoIMAGER TIM QVGA-HD-T100 thermal imaging camera is designed for stationary thermography in order to recognize people with increased body temperature (e.g. fever). With its compact design and USB port, the camera is easy to install and can be easily set up and dismantled. The software setup is adapted to body temperature and is suitable for common Windows PCs and the Micro-Epsilon NetPC (industrial PC with passive cooling). The software provides thermal images in real time. The record/snapshot functions automatically store the thermal images. Temperature and alarm values can be optionally performed via a process interface. As standard, the TIM QVGA-HD-T100 is equipped with a certificate of calibration for 35 °C. |
Increased accuracy with ambient reference radiatorThe ambient reference radiator is recommended to further increase the accuracy again. This radiator is positioned in the Field of View in order to permanently provide reference values to the thermal imager. This enables temperature accuracy to be increased to ±0.5 °C. |

TIM 40 is a robust industrial camera with an extremely compact design. This thermal imager offers excellent optical resolution and a distance-to-spot-size-ratio of 390:1. With a high frame rate of 80 Hz, the camera is used for monitoring of fast thermal processes. The motorized focus of the thermal imaging camera enables easy focus on targets via remote control. Its compact design makes the TIM 40 ideally suited to serial applications.
Characteristics

The TIM 41 is a robust and extremely compact thermal imaging camera. This infrared camera can be used both with a PC/software and in autonomous operation. The integrated auto-hotspot-finder function reliably measures even moving objects without having to readjust the camera. This thermal imaging camera is equipped with a motorized focus that enables convenient remote focusing. Therefore, the TIM 41 is ideal for serial use in machinery and equipment as well as in electronic units. In addition, the camera is equipped with an integrated Ethernet interface that can be used to further process data at a frame rate of 25 Hz.

The new thermoIMAGER TIM QVGA infrared camera offers extremely high optical resolution of 382 x 288 pixels. It provides pin-sharp images and is therefore ideal for very small objects which can hardly be detected using common cameras. The maximum thermal sensitivity of 75 mK or 40 mK enables detecting the finest temperature differences reliably. However, the camera remains very small and flexible in its application covering a large temperature range of -20 °C up to 1500 °C.
Characteristics

The thermoIMAGER TIM VGA infrared camera is the smallest VGA-resolution thermal imaging camera in the world, providing thermal images in real time due to its optical resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. With dimensions of 46x56x76-100 mm and weighing just 269 – 340g (incl. optics), the thermoIMAGER TIM VGA is one of the most compact thermal imaging cameras on the market. The scope of supply includes the extensive TIM Connect analysis software.

The thermoIMAGER TIM M-05 thermal imaging camera is designed for non-contact temperature measurement of molten metal and metallic surfaces from 900 °C to 2450 °C. As well as compact size, USB interface and license-free software, the new TIM M-05 series features a wavelength range of 500nm to 540nm minimizing measuring errors due to unknown or changing emissivity. The frame rate of 1kHz and high optical resolution enable optimal adaption to the respective application.

The thermoIMAGER TIM M-08 thermal imaging camera is designed for non-contact temperature measurements during laser processing. In addition to the well-known advantages of thermoIMAGER infrared cameras such as their compact size, USB interface and license-free software, the TIM M-08 camera can be continuously used in a temperature range from 575 °C to 1900 °C without any interruptions. Therefore, this camera offers a high degree of flexibility as it is not necessary to switch the measuring range. The special narrow-band spectral sensitivity at 800 nm makes the short-wavelength infrared camera ideal for almost all NIR and CO2 laser processing applications.

The thermoIMAGER TIM M-1 thermal imaging camera is designed for non-contact temperature measurement of hot metals in the 450°C to 1800°C range. As well as the well-known advantages of thermoIMAGER infrared cameras such as their compact size, USB interface and license-free software, the new TIM M-1 series offers several unique selling points. Compared to other thermal imaging cameras for metals, the temperature measuring range of 450°C to 1800°C is usable entirely and without sub-ranges. There is no need for any measuring range switchovers and the camera is significantly more flexible in its use. The powerful sensor electronics not only enable process thermography but also the output of temperature data of the center pixel at 1kHz and so can also be used as a pyrometer. The TIM M-1 thermal imaging camera is primarily used for temperature monitoring of hardening and forming processes for hot metals but also for processing graphite and ceramics.

Thermal imaging camera for the glass industry
with line scan feature
The thermoIMAGER TIM QVGA-G7 / VGA-G7 is an industrial thermal imaging camera specially designed for applications in the glass industry. The spectral range of 7.9 µm enables reliable measurements even on thin glass sheets. If the glass has a reflection coating, an additional reference pyrometer can be integrated in order to readjust the thermal imaging camera. Like all thermoIMAGER TIM cameras, the G7’s license-free analysis software includes a line scan feature that enables the monitoring of thermal processes, even if the field of vision is restricted.
